We are Brian Green and Megan Adam and we live here. When not engaged in our day jobs, we are musicians and writers, involved in our community, and love to host dinners and parties. We moved from East Vancouver to Gabriola in June 2016, and started putting on shows soon after. Since then we have hosted dozens of musicians in our living room and on our outdoor stage. Though our property is small, it is home to many outbuildings, including one dubbed “Paradise” which is the cornerstone of our new songwriting residency. Play a show
We are a private residence, not a professional venue, and we rely on performers planning shows to reach out to us. What we offer in exchange for your performance is 100% of the door take, a place to sleep (that isn’t the floor), dinner the night of the show, and breakfast before you head out the next day. Almost everyone who has played here has returned at least once - we are musicians who like to host other musicians!
Songwriting residency
We are now offering a songwriting residency out of Birdsong for working musicians. We will be offering 4 spots of 5-10 days in 2023. These are free of charge to the successful applicants. The only catch is, you are asked to play a show at some point during the residency. More details on the Songwriting Residency page.

Door time for our shows is usually at 7:00 PM and we take cash at the door. The suggested donation is $20-25 with all money going to the performers.
We support you bringing something to drink, and a lawn chair for the outdoor shows.
